Meeting December 7th, 2009, 6:00 p.m.
Temporary Library Quarters
Executive Session
A motion was made by Bob, seconded by Chris for the trustees to enter into executive session under Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 39 Section 23B Subsection 2. The result of the roll call vote was Bob, Yes, Roland, Yes, and Chris Yes.
At 7:45 a motion was made by Bob, seconded by Roland and passed unanimously to leave executive session and return to public session.

Minutes:
The minutes of the November 9th meeting were approved.
Director’s Report:
There was no written director’s report, but Kelly did inform the trustees that the custodial contract went out to rebid. It is still unknown who will supply paper products for the rest rooms. She also announced that all three positions have been filled and CORIs are being processed.
Kelly proposed that we hire a temp to fill in for the children’s librarian position until a thorough search can be made for a permanent replacement. Kelly will rework the budget based on the reduction in cost for this position.
Shelver Hourly Rate:
The trustees had proposed an hourly rate of $9.50 to the Town Administrator. The Town Administrator thought $9.25 would be more reasonable. The trustees agreed to accept the hourly rate of $9.25.
Library Construction Committee Update:
Construction is still going very well. Some of the furniture will still be late.
Grand Opening:
A motion was made by Bob, seconded by Roland and passed unanimously to hold the grand opening ceremony on Saturday February 6th. The library will open for business when the last work is completed.
The next meetings will be Monday, January 4th, and Monday January 25th, both at 6:00 p.m. at the new library.
